What to expect
This is a cool-touch mat, not a fridge. It feels noticeably cooler than a normal bed when they first lie on it, and like any self-cooling mat it gradually warms to their body temperature. Moving it to a shaded spot, or letting your pet get up and resettle, brings the cool feel back.
On very hot days it's there to add comfort, not to replace shade, fresh water and a cool room. If your pet shows signs of heat stress, talk to your vet straight away.

Does it need water, freezing or power?
No. The ice-silk top is cool to the touch on its own. There's nothing to fill, freeze or plug in.
Does it stay cold all day?
It feels coolest when your pet first lies down and gradually warms to their body temperature, like any self-cooling mat. Keeping it out of direct sun and letting it rest between naps brings the cool feel back.
Is it suitable for cats?
Yes. It's made for both dogs and cats.
Can I wash it?
Yes, it's machine washable and holds its shape after washing.
